All of our products are fully seasoned and ready to use. However, after several washings, the board can appear dry and need to be re-seasoned to prevent it from cracking. This is common for all wood products. Farwell's Fine Woodworking has its own personal board butter formulated from our personal mixture of oils and beeswax. Board butter is specifically designed to season (re-season) a board and fill in any pores, eliminating the risk of bacteria entering the wood. Simply apply it with a clean cloth and allow it to dry to renew it's beautiful luster.
